Folding up a Core Sound 20 Mark 3

The other day we unfolded a CS-20 Mark 3 in our shop for a customer and I took the opporunity to video the process. It would be the same for a CS-17 Mark 3. We had 3 people and very little discussion prior to the unfolding but it all came together. Some big lead weights aided in spreading the bottom panel open and pre-wiring the first few feet of the chine helped to wrestle the hull together a little quicker.

We used drywall screws and plywood pads to help align the panels near the bow. We let the hull sit in its new unfolded state for a couple of days which gives the plywood some time to adapt to the new shape and de-stress a bit as humidity helps the plywood conform and relax. After a couple of days the hull fit perfectly on all the cradles without the weights.
